Fishing

This is for my other nephew, they were born on the same day 3 years apart. This nephew likes all kinds of fishing, hunting, I have done a lot of hunting and outdoor themed cards so this year I went with fishing, this is another gem I picked up at the yard sale at my scrapbook store.

This is a Thomas Kinkade image. Thankfully it has a full color image on the front of this wood based stamp so I was able to look to it for inspiration on coloring mine.  I did take the red rubber stamp off the base of the wood mount and used it in my Misti to stamp it, thankfully I did because I did need to stamp it a few times.  I colored it with markers

I really liked the way my sunrise came out on this.

Cornish Heritage Farms - Thomas Kinkade, It doesn't get much better Vignette stamp, color w/markers
Crate Paper - Party day paper
Spellbinders - A2 mating basics A, classic rectangle and Labels 29 dies
Gina Marie - Birthday words sentiment stamp
White burlap

The sun came out this morning, they say to enjoy it because it won't last the day, so you can bet I am hanging out around the windows soaking it up as much as I can since it is below freezing outside.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Very nice card, I also really like it when there is a color image available to refer to with the stamp. Sometimes it is hard to know what is what, otherwise. That is neat that your two nephews were born on the same day!

Great job of coloring and designing this awesome masculine creation! I too have that stamp but mine is still on the wooden block form (another thing to do on my todo list ... remove all those wooden block stamps ... but that will take some time so not doing it quite yet lol). This is fabulous and you did an amazing job! Well done my friend!

A great card for your nephew! I love Thomas Kinkade paintings though I have mostly seen paintings of sweet little houses painted by him. I love the fishing scene. Why oh why does the sun keep disappearing in your neck of the woods?? Surely it has to warm up there soon.

Oh, how wonderful! I have this stamp (in fact, several TK stamps) and have used it a few times. You've colored it so beautifully! The sky just glows. Love the way you've framed the image, too.
