This challenge came at just the right time because I have a surprise birthday party to go to and they suggested a lot of different gift cards to give to the birthday man.
We went with the measurements and design you can find HERE.
This is the perfect size to fit a gift card. The girl in my group that had the challenge used a closure to keep it shut but I just put some removable adhesive on the inside to hold it shut, but will be easy to open. On the flap you fold up from the bottom so that it will hold the card I added some washi tape. I found this stamp that fit perfectly on the card and colored it with pencils and used mineral spirits to blend.
PSX - F-762 stamp, colored with pencils
Tim Holtz - Rose design tape
Technique Tuesday - Happy Birthday sentiment stamp
These little cards are great for using your smaller stamps and makes the giving of the gift card a bit more special!
We had a very frigid start to our morning but nothing like the people up north of us are having, wishing everyone in the cold areas stay warm today.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Connie

Super cute! I love that covered bridge and the sentiment also fits just perfectly! What luck!
I saw on the news that you up there have been bombarded by thick blankets of snow. Sounds way too cold for me. Another fabulous card, Connie; perfect for a male. Love the picture of the covered bridge and the road leading up to it.
Your color-work is beautiful Connie! Such a pretty and happy scene for this gift card holder! Love that you put it on a bright background for 'pop!' Try to stay worm friend, Hugs - karen o
Great scene on your lovely birthday gift card, Connie! The beautiful covered bridge reminds me of ones "back home! Hugs!
Connie, I think I have this stamp. (somewhere!). Love your gift card card. Very pretty! I am going through my stamps and I'm surprised that I am not fighting freeing myself from some of them.
Beautiful and striking image, lovely serene and full of old times.xx
I like this as a gift card holder for a guy! Beautiful stamp and you've colored it as beautifully as it deserves. The whole midwest area is getting a lot of attention on the news. So cold! I heard they even suspended mail service for the time being in some parts. Can't blame them one bit!
I never thought to use mineral oil to blend colors. That's a good idea.
this is beautiful connie, how nice that you were able to fill a need with this challenge!!
we started out at 6 degrees this morning, it's 14 now, definitely a stay at home day!!!
