Something you Love

The next challenge was to use an item or image of something you love, well I had a hard time choosing between flowers and birds, really they are a tie for me when it comes to card making, I love them both on a card, so since I couldn't choose, I went to my basket of unused stamps and told myself whichever I come up with first that is the card I will make and this stamp was the first flower one to pop up.

Mama Elephant - botanic hello stamp, colored w/markers
Spellbinders A2 matting basics A die

Next challenge was to use an image starting with the letter "A".  I couldn't come up with something original so I used Animals. When buying this stamp they show a colored version and I thought there was different patterns in the balloon, but when I pulled the stamp out the balloon just had the patchwork lines but no patterns in them, and I guess that is what I liked about it, so I had to add my own patterns.

I added the sky with a stencil and stamped the grass and sponged over it for the ground.

Inky Antics - Balloon kitties, colored w/markers
D.R.S. designs - Easy grass background stamp sponged w/mowed lawn distress ink
Tumbled glass distress ink and homemade cloud stencil for sky

The last challenge was to use two different pattern papers on your card and one stamped image that you color. I used my pattern paper for the sky and ground, both from my scrap basket :) and colored these two to send birthday wishes :)

Mama Elephant - Dos Amigos stamp set, colored w/markers
Poppystamps - Stitched landscape die
Memory Box - flying birds die

That is the end of the challenges for that group, I will have a little time to rest before my stamp group has there challenge week, I am just so thankful that the stamp group does there challenges over a weeks time :)

Have a very blessed Sunday,

Connie

Wow! What a line up! It's a good thing there are a lot of different flowers and critters because they're my two favorite things to stamp and color. You've knocked my socks off today, Connie! I love that you just reached into the basket and came up with such a gorgeous flower stamp. Wonderful simplicity for a beautifully colored image. And, ohhh, the balloon card is so adorable! Funny how we remember things differently, but you fixed that balloon up the way you thought it should be and it turned out great. Finally, the last card gives me a giggle. Those sentiments, tee hee! I love using patterned paper for landscapes and you had the perfect papers. This will make a fun birthday greeting!

Wow ~ What a great line up of cards her Connie! The choice between birds and flowers would be a tie for me too but your lovely flowers turned out beautifully, so good choice! I adore the patchwork balloon and those darling little critters. Such a cute card! Last, but certainly not least, your little ditto critters are just adorable and a great use of those patterned papers. Happy new year friend!

Hello....to you, lovely Connie. Such a bright and cheery hello to make me smile....such a sweet card. Yes, I would think you have a plethora of pretties waiting to be transformed into a card, so I think choosing what comes out first is an excellent idea...AND...obviously with your fabulous imagination it always works.....and wonderfully so, at that. Again, more fantastic cards to cheer someone's day.
