Just before I was getting ready to make these thank you cards, Heidi posted This card HERE and I thought that was so pretty and that the new dies I had bought would go great with this design. So here are the cards I came up with using her design.
I did a little bit of inking trying to match the shades of the cardstock I used for the wildflowers but going a little darker. On the embossing folder I inked the background of the embossing folder with a shade a little darker also than the cream cardstock I used.

This set I picked up while we were in Arkansas, the Hobby Lobby was just down the street from our hotel, so after having dinner, hubby asked if I would like to go check it out and see if they had anything new, well I wasn't going to ask but since he brought it up I thought why not :)
There are so many dies in this set, it is fun putting together the dies.
I sponged a little of blue ink behind the die cuts but it doesn't show up all that well.
Tim Holtz - Funky Foliage die set
Taylored Expressions - Burlap embossing folder
Memory box - Stitched Rectangle layers die

We are going to get down to 47 for our high on Sunday, I am hoping that is the last time it dips down into the 40's this season.
Hope you all enjoy a great weekend.
Thanks for taking out the time to stop by,
Connie

Wow! Both your Nature cards are fantastic, Connie, and great take on Heidi's pretty card. I especially like yours because they are suitable for a woman or a man, and on any occasion that a little "thanks" would be appropriate. The "woodland" theme on the first card is especially wonderful. Thanks for sharing, and hope you have a great week-end! hugs, de
What gorgeous cards. I really want those flower dies. Looks so nice with the white grain background. Have a nice weekend
Super cute backgrounds and designs Connie.
Hugs Diane
These are super cute Connie! What an easy and fabulous design! I can see why you were inspired!
Your husband reads your mind, doesn't he. =) It is always fun to look around a new shop....just in case one should see something to add to their collection. These cards are fun.
You had me at the wood grain embossed background. I have that folder and need to use it more. It's such a good choice to go with your new flower dies. So pretty, Connie! I love the whimsy and simplicity of your second card. It's just a perfect little arrangement. I couldn't be that close to a Hobby Lobby and NOT go! We have no craft stores here any longer. Jo Ann's doesn't even carry dies now, tsk tsk.
Oh Connie, what lovely cards! I love the little mushroom and woodsy look is super cute on the second, but then the woodgrain with little flowers and vines are very nice too. That is nice of you to link over to my blog. And how fun to visit a craft store on your vacation!
Love the background and gorgeous cards for sure.x
Sweet cards as ever!I also love your gorgeous flowers pictures.Hugs, dear Connie!
Lovely cards! I especially like that first one with the wood grain background and those pretty floral die cuts!

Pretty and cute! I do love a wood grained background, yours is fabulous....definitely reminds me of you, especially paired with your outdoorsy photos! SPRING!!!
The first card is so elegant and pretty, Connie. The second is adorable. I love your red mushroom.

Such pretty cards Connie. Love the textured backgrounds with those die-cuts... the mushroom is so sweet!
I love the last photo ...so beautiful card.
have a great day
I always think it's nice to send and receive a thank you card and these here are lovely Connie. I think my favourite is the one with the little mushroom.
Hope you've had a nice weekend.
All the best Jan
I love the wood backgrounds either with paper or embossing. And who wouldn't love the adorable little mushroom!!
Very nice! I love the wildflowers card! The mushroom is cute too. It's wonderful when our husbands offer to go to a craft store isn't it? Sometimes mine will sit in the car, other times he will join me in the store. He never complains how long I am in there though!! (and sometimes I can't drag myself out!!)
Gorgeous cards, the embossing is just stunning!
