First Class

Since this stamp is quite small I thought I would use some of the scraps from this paper pack to bring more interest to the card.  I love seeing others cards with a lot of white space but for some reason I have to have color and patterns going on too.

I went with a feminine theme with the punched border and pearl trim.

I have fussy cut around the stamp and then popped it up with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment right onto  the background paper.

Hot off the press - Postage stamp, colored w/pencils
Tim Holtz - Vintage shabby paper (top panel)
Teresa Collins - Tell your story papers
Recollections - Bling on a roll
Martha Stewart - Border punch

I have seen that most of the U.S. is under a heat wave this week, so I hope you all that are affected by it can stay cool.  I plan on doing a lot of indoor work this week, thankfully we had a nice weekend before hand to enjoy.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and saying Hi,

Connie

i will have to watch the weather, it was cool this morning when i went out to water my vegetable garden...and to cut some dill to feed the caterpillars!!!

this card is beautiful, very feminine. the "stamp" i think is the butterfly and flowers is so pretty and i like the paper on the bottom. it looks orange in the picture and i think orange is so pretty and a very under used color!! this is one "first class" card connie, well done as always!!

What a beautiful stamp image and I love how you popped it up to add dimension. I love those pretty pearls along the bottom too.
I certainly understand the not being able to do all the white space --- I'm the same way. Though recently I've been trying out some CAS ideas with white embossed backgrounds and loving them.

Oh I really love that background, it would make for such a pretty card alone too! That stamp is small, yet sweet and simple!
