Smile

A friend in my cardmaking group has a sister who caught Covid and she was in the hospital for awhile but has now been sent home to continue her recovery, she is still needing assist on breathing and has other health problems, she asked if we could send some cards to cheer her up through her recovery.  I had been praying for her recovery while she was in the hospital, so you know I had to make a card and let her know and hopefully bring a smile.

The flower sentiment is part of a 3D sticker pack I bought many years ago at the $ store, I just mounted it on a piece of watercolor background I had made, and the sentiment tag is cut from the same piece, trying to bring a bit of brightness to the background paper I used.

Spellbinder - Classic scalloped square and Back to basics tag dies
Miss Elizabeth - Scrapbook 3D stickers
Mama Elephant - Butterfly kisses stamp for sentiment
Corner stickers

In the close up below you can see the gold in the sticker so I added a some gold corner stickers to go with that.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and say Hi,

Connie

The thought of COVID is so scary and I'm hearing from more and more people with friends and family who have come down with it. Your pretty card will definitely cheer her. I know she'll love receiving all the handmade cards. I hope she continues with a successful recovery.

Prayers going up for your friend's sister ... my daughter & SIL are recovering from COVID. Luckily they weren't bad enough to be hospitalized and are recovering at home. Your card I'm sure will bring her great comfort!

the card is gorgeous connie, i really LOVE this one. the added gold, is a real pretty touch. i am hearing of more and more people with covid...one of the men who was working on our job caught it. 42 years old and he just died. i am also hearing more and more of a lot of lasting symptoms from it. i have to go to the doctors tomorrow and i don't really want to go. i asked when i made the appointment and the have you sit in the waiting room...not something i want to do!!
