Out on a limb

I just think this little squirrel is too cute.

I stamped and cut out the tree a second time to give it a little more dimension.  The squirrel and acorns was also cut out and I added dimensional adhesive to the squirrel to give a little more dimension.  All the images and sentiment come in this stamp set.

Darcies-- JCS0158 stamp set
Spellbinders-- A2 Matting Basics A
Fiskars -- cloud punch
Recollections -- Garden Harvest

Wow we have been getting hit hard again with very hot temps, my temperature gauge has been reading in the 100's the last few days, but they tell us starting on Friday we will be getting some relief, YAH!!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Heartfelt Thanks

My sister is always thinking of others and doing so much for our family, so we wanted to send her a thank you to show our appreciation for all she does.... my hubby found a little something to give her that we sent along with it.

The paper that I used in this card was a set of paper she found for me real cheap, see what I mean, always thinking of others :)

Our Daily Bread designs -- Chalkboard Birthday / thank you stamp set
DCWV -- Wild Splendor Stack
Martha Stewart -- Beaded Arcs border punch
Spellbinders -- Labels Eight die (has been inked with Wild Honey Distress ink)
Pilot Gold Pen (border around the orange matting piece, to go with the gold foiling in the paper)

I just love the gold shimmer outline of the flowers in this paper, you can really see it at the top right in the photo, but it is all over the paper.

Well I am off, my cat Jip has been on seizure medicine for a month now and the Vet would like to see her and check on how things are going.  Although she hasn't had a seizure in a couple weeks, whenever certain sounds happen, she shakes like she could go into a seizure at any moment, was hoping that would go away too, but happy we haven't seen a seizure in a little while.

Hope the week ahead is a good one for you,

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and for your kind comments, it means so much,
Connie

Bunny wishes

I am not sure if there is a name to this or not, can't remember, but I have seen a few people now stamping their images in softer colors so that you don't get that harsh black or brown lines, so I thought I would give it a try, and as you can see I have a lot of more practice I need.  I am sending this to my great nephew who is turning 3 so I thought I might be ok with still sending it along.

I started off stamping the image using Memento ink in Desert Sand.
The Image stamp is one of Michael Abrams that came free with my Quick Cards magazine, I colored it with Copic and Spectrum Noir pens.

Spellbinders -- Labels Seven and Labels Twenty-three dies
Studio G-- sentiment, added some Waterfall Stickels to the star
Stickles --Shabby Shutters was added to the grass

Well I am off, have to work today so I have to get my demo stuff packed up.

Hope you all enjoy a great weekend,

Connie

Football

My nephew is into his sports so for his birthday this year I decided to go that way with his card, the images are stickers so this went together quite quickly

I decided to go with the team colors of University of Michigan, don't know if you can tell or not but the base color is blue then golden yellow.

Spellbinders A2 matting basics A and Ribbon Banners dies
NRN Designs -- Timeless Treasures Stickers
Hero Arts -- It's your day sentiment stamp

I believe I used Old paper distress inks for shading but did not write that down so I am not sure.

Busy day today so I am off, hope your all enjoying your week,
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Skateboard

My Great nephew had his birthday yesterday, I tried to color the hair on this to kind of look like his, he has sandy brown hair.... I think I need to watch a few more tutorials on how to color hair.

Stampendous -- Skateboard kiddo stamp, colored with markers
Distress inks in mowed lawn and tumbled glass
Spellbinders -- Large Deckled Rectangles
Sassafras -- Apple Jack papers
Fiskar -- Cloud and grass punches
Hero Arts-- It's your Day sentiment stamp

My hubby is working today, but we still plan on doing a little cook out for our dinner, but that is the most excitement, well other than making cards we will have this holiday :)

Hope you all have had a chance to enjoy a long weekend, and get ready for the Autumn season ahead of us!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
