Lattice Split card

I have seen this style of card called a few names, but I wanted to try something new for my daughters birthday cards so I went with this design that I have seen many do.  I followed the instructions on the Card Here . I went with the second card in the video, she calls it a trellis split card.

I wanted to write quite a bit in her card so I added a yellow insert inside that I folded so she has to open that up to view the sentiment inside.

  • Spellbinders - Layered daises, colored with inks using brushes
  • Stampendous - Birthday Assortment sentiment stamp
  • Recollections - gems
  • Butterfly gem

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, and hope you enjoy a great weekend!

Cat Sympathy

Our Friends cat passed away last month, we go over to their house once a week so we see her quite often she was 19, so she didn't move a lot anymore but she was a very big and fluffy cat and she liked when you would come over and pet her.

  • Impression Obsession- Cat set die
  • Spellbinders - A2 matting basics A die
  • Memory Box - Grove Leaves, Bare Sapling, Flying birds and Contempo birds dies
  • D.R.S. - Easy Grass Background stamp
  • My Favorite Things - Cloud stencil

She was many different shades of brown so I went with a pattern paper to cut the cat out from.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Kids Birthday

I have two cards finished for my great niece and great nephew, so I thought I would share them together.

  • Great Impressions - G423 stamp colored with/markers
  • Kat Scrappiness - Mini Slimline Stitched Rope die
  • Hero Arts - Fabulous Birthday sentiment
  • Cheery Lynn Designs - Alison's Ribbons die
  • BasicGrey - Two scoops paper
  • Sequins

This next one I tried inking my embossing folder with distress ink and then running it through my machine to transfer the ink to the paper, well I did this a few times and this was my results, then I added some lunar paste to it also, well I am not totally thrilled with the outcome and why did I not just go with some pattern paper instead but no I used the background and had to get it in the mail.  I am sharing my good with my bad cards.  They all don't turn out like we want.  I have since saw someone using the oxide inks and they said you get much better coverage so next time I will try that.

  • Lifestyle Crafts - Birthday embossing folder, used Distress ink directly on folder before embossing
  • Lunar Paste - Sike! over raised areas of embossing folder
  • Mama Elephant - Dos Amigos stamp set, colored w/markers
  • Darice - Nesting wavy squares die
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and letting me know you have,

Connie

Backyard Wren

I know I have told myself many times I do NOT need anymore bird dies, but here I go again. He is a little bigger than my other birds.  I love them in wreaths so I had to add that but this time I cut some thing strips of paper and crinkled them up a bit to make a little nest for him to sit in.  I colored him by inking with my blender brushes.

  • Memory Box - Backyard Wren die, colored with inks and blending brush
  • Spellbinders - Wreath die
  • Tim Holtz - Funky Floral #3
  • Martha Stewart - tag punch
  • ODBD - Mini tag sentiment stamp
  • Queen & co. - sunflower yellow gems

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
