Birthday Bouquet

I am sharing another card I did for a challenge, this time the theme was birthday, well that isn't hard since probably 95% of the cards I make are birthday cards :)  This time the optional theme was die cutting or fussy cutting, I used both in this bouquet, the stamped flowers were fussy cut and the dimensional ones were die cut.  You can find out more about Time out challenge HERE .

I started with stenciling the background, I stamped the mason jar next on and fussy cut that out, then stamped all the berries branches, fussy cut those, then decided to add more flowers this time with die cuts and added a few more leaves also to fill it in.

The Greetery - Mason Jar filler stencil, Just mason around stamp set and Budding Beauties Autumn stamp set
Tim Holtz - Tiny tattered florals dies
Nuvo  - Golden sunset glitter drops for flower centers

I know this looks a little on the Autumn side for a spring birthday but I just had to create with this set again, just love it!

I hope you all are staying well throughout this time, I was so excited to be able to worship with our church family on Sunday even if it was over the internet, I could close my eyes and just imagine everyone in their homes praising God at the same time.

Praying you all are staying well during this time.  Hubby and I got out yesterday and went to a few places and actually saw some budding trees with flowers, even though it was cloudy and chilly out it is such a welcoming sight in these times.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

LOVE! I have always loved a jar of flowers or shells or anything on a card. This is beautiful. Great background stamping, adds a lot of depth and dimension to this pretty birthday card!

LOVE this! This mason jar stamp (which I actually purchased myself) takes me back to my growing up years when Dad had a huge flower garden and mom used to always put a bouquet into a mason jar for on the table! Yours is beautiful and love the bouquet dimension. GREAT job my friend ... stay healthy & happy!

this card is outstanding connie, i just adore it!! mason jars are one of my favorites, drinking glasses, vases, they awesome for holding just about anything!!! the flowers are so well made, "fussy cutting" cracks me up!!

we are well, staying put. we need a few small things that we did not stock up on and trying to decide if the hubs should make a run or if we should live without. i did not get olive oil and i use it everyday, but i think i should just use canola oil, cinnamon and sugar instead of jelly. i would rather he not go out!!! my home chef meals are still coming and i am so grateful for that. i wipe everything down when it comes in the house. take care my dear friend and be well!!

oooooh and i am happy you had church. a church in my area held mass in a parking lot and everyone stayed in their car. i thought that was a good idea!!!

The mixed media layering works so nicely. There is so much depth to this card and it is really a lovely full bouquet. Glad you are doing well and were able to have online church.

This is such a brilliant card!! I'm in love with all the dimension and texture (just want to touch all those flowers) and the colours are so warm against the glass of the jar. And such a great idea to paint part of the image where you were placing it, would never think to do that its a clever idea. So glad you shared this with us at TIME OUT and please stay safe!!
