From me to you

I did a little bit of watercoloring on these dies using my distress inks, the water color paper was some old stuff I had that isn't very thick and it didn't take the color in spots like I would have liked and it was hard getting it to lighten up, paper quality sure does make a difference.

I am sure getting a lot of use out of these papers that Leslie was so sweet to gift me, that bird was so cool and I just had to figure out a way to use him and this is what I came up with.  I added some blue sparkle pen to the flower tips and a crochet lace die to bring out more of the blues that are in the paper.

Tim Holtz - Wildflower stems #2 and Crochet dies
BasicGrey - Periphery Paper
Distress inks - Faded Jeans, Wild Honey, Peeled Paint
Martha Stewart - Tag punch
Our Daily Bread designs - Mini tag sentiments stamp
Spectrum noir - Sparkle Teacup pen (flower tips)

We enjoyed beautiful sunshine yesterday, at these times it felt good to have the sun again. Today it is cloudy and raining, guess time to get some cleaning done and of course when I am done with that more crafting time :)

Hope you are all staying well, and hope you get some of that creative time in too!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Dearest Connie, Happy belated Birthday, my friend! I just realized I missed your birthday (I believe it was Saturday). We were supposed to leave for Arizona that day, but we had to cancel our plans due to COVID-19 and with everything going on well, I simply let it slip by...forgive me, dear one. I hope you had a splendid day and I trust you're doing well. Thinking of you and sending lots of love your way!

Very pretty die cut, I like how you water colored it. I just bought 2 packages of the 'good stuff' Strathmore Water Color Paper, Cold Press. 12 sheets 11 x 15 inches, it's nice and smooth for stamping on. Buy 1 get the 2nd for 50% off. It works really well with water coloring. Pretty card!

I'm glad you're enjoying the papers, Connie. You've done some mighty pretty things with them. I always notice. This bird was probably my favorite piece. The watercolored die cuts are beautiful. Every piece goes together perfectly!
