Another Challenge in my cardmaking group was to make a card inspired by another member in the group. I found one of the girls who used 3 different leaves and put them together, I thought that would make a good sympathy or thinking of you type card.
Now those that have been with me for many years know that every card I share goes to someone, maybe one or two a year I have no plan for at the time of making it and this is one of those, thankfully no need for it right now but I always thought it would be nice to have some on hand that I can send out right away if need be, so this will be set aside for that reason, hopefully it won't be needed any time soon.
I added rub ons to the card base instead of pattern paper.
- Spellbinders - Foliage die
- 49 and Market - Vintage Artistry Essentials Foliage and Vintage Artistry essentials Rub ons for background
- Memory Box - windswept stems die
- Simon Says stamps - Tiny words Faith sentiment stamp
- Pink & Main - Sentiment strips die
- Twine
I would like to share my card today with Seize the Birthday challenge Green as main color
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Connie

adding rub ons to the background paper worked very well for this beautiful card. i have a lot of dry leaves, i wonder if i could use them like this!! it is a nice feeling that you do not need a sympathy card right now, and that you will have one made when you do!!
Love the layout of this and the pretty background for the leaves. Such a serene feel and perfect for a praying for you card.
That is lovely.
I do like this card Connie ... very special.
All the best Jan
This is beautiful, Connie! Nature at its finest.
I'm thrilled!!!! This card is amazing and they could be used for many occasions, including a man's birthday.
I do love foliage as a focal point on a card, a sympathy one is perfect! (also masculine birthday lol) This is lovely and I adore the text background too!
You are SO correct, this makes a great sympathy card. Your leaves are fabulous, they look real. The colors you chose are perfect.
Good idea. Receivers will be happy.
Cool card. The only foliage I've been dealing with lately has involved a weed eater and a mower.
Oh, it's absolutely beautiful, Connie, and I'm glad you don't need it right now. It's definitely good to have some like this on hand. I also send or give away every card I make, though they may not go right away. I admire how you're able to make a card at the time of need. I find that very difficult.
It's beautiful, Connie xoxo
Adorable card. Great job.
The trio of leaves creates such a calm, grounded focal point, and the soft rub‑on background adds just the right amount of texture without competing for attention. The mix of greens feels especially soothing, and the twine detail finishes everything with a natural, understated touch. A beautiful design to have ready for those moments when a gentle, heartfelt card is needed.
love the greens on this card!!!!! awesome job on this, Connie!
