Make A wish

Sharing some new goodies, I have had them for a little while but finally got around to using them. I got some Wood Veneer cardstock from Amazon and tried it out making the nest from it, hoping it would look more like twigs. I also did a bit of inking on it. My new bird is nestled inside.

  • Simon Says stamps - Rustic Nest die cut from Wood Venner cardstock and Sweet Songbird die
  • Graphic 45 - Botanical Tea papers
  • Poppy stamps - Eyelet stitches die
  • Tim Holtz - Funky Floral #3 dies and Quote Chips
  • Queen & Co. - Baby Blue Pearls

I would like to share my card today with the following Challenges,
NBUS (Nest and Bird dies)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

That is the sweetest Sweet Bird die sitting in its twiggy nest! I'm crazy about my bird dies and stamps! Love how this mama bird adorned her nest with flowers in the pretty blue floral setting.

I think you've enabled me to go and look closer at that nest die, Connie! It's so perfect and I love the idea of cutting it from wood veneer cc. And I love your background and that pretty little bird in blue and yellow! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

Beautiful card. Your nest does look like twigs with the Wood Veneer card stock. I've never heard of that before. Looks like fun stuff!

Hi Connie: This is really pretty. I actually stopped by to look at your penguin card, but I couldn't find it. Do you do Instagram? If so, please let me know your "name" so I can find you. I'm guessing that maybe you posted it there. Thank you so much for your visits to my blog and for your sweet comments. I appreciate it so much. Have a blessed week.

The wood veneer nest gives this design such a natural, twig‑like texture, and the soft inking adds great depth. The little bird feels perfectly at home among the florals, and the Botanical Tea papers frame everything with a gentle spring mood. The split panel and stitched detailing pull the elements together beautifully for a fresh, uplifting card.
