Our stamp groups challenge for last week was to do a punched background of one item over and over again and then to add a stamp on top. I went through my punches and decided to use my butterfly punch and then looked for a stamp to go with it. I haven't used this stamp in quite sometime and it even comes with a die to cut it out so no need to fussy cut.
I meant to do the whole background with punched butterflies but didn't measure things out correctly so I added a piece of patterned paper to the base. I colored the butterflies with markers and added a die cut sentiment.
Martha Stewart - Butterfly punch
Our Daily Bread designs - Faith, colored w/markers
Die- Versions - Blessings die
Quick cards magazine - Floral papers
I have found that it is ok to punch out one or two items but wow anymore than that and my hands have a hard time with it, after this project I am so thankful for whoever thought to make dies to cut out our goodies :) I can remember the first punch I bought and thought that was the neatest thing ever. I still have all my punches too.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
Hugs,
Connie

LOVE the tone on tone, makes for such a beautiful background! That image is lovely too, great coloring!
I love it.
What a fun idea -- creating a background with paper punched images! Love your pretty butterfly card!

Gorgeous Connie. The yellow background is so nice.
What a clever idea for a background and it looks awesome! Yes I still have all my punches but they rarely see the light of day with all the dies I have available to me now. BUT, periodically one calls out to me and I blow the dust off it and share some love! LOL Beautiful design Connie!!
a beautiful card connie, it reminds me of my emerging butterflies!! and i know what you mean about those punches...they = strength training!!
Connie, this is absolutely brilliant! The punched tone on tone butterflies for the background are super pretty and you have the perfect stamp to go with it. Love that you have a die for it, too. That sure makes it nice. This is just beautiful!
Just adorable...Best wishes.
Those punches sound a little tricky to use.
Your card turned out so well, it's very nice indeed.
All the best Jan
That is such a great way to create a background, I really don’t use my punches enough! Very pretty card, loving the yellow.
