Prayers

There has been another death, our friend has lost his Dad. Because all his sisters and brothers live all over the country and the traveling with Covid problems they have decided not to have a funeral for him,  that is so sad to me, I know how much he loved his dad and so many prayers are going his way as he gets through this time of loss.

The dry embossing was done on foil cardstock, then clear embossing ink rubbed across the panel, then I added a combination of copper and gold embossing powders and heat set them.

I will be adding this to the Sisterhood of Crafters blog challenge which is embossing.

Cuttlebug - Textile Embossing folder w/ gold and copper embossing powder on Foiled cardstock
Dollar tree - praying hands stamp
Pebbles - Rub on sentiment
Spellbinders - Classic Rectangle die

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wishing you a good and safe week ahead,

Connie

It is so sad that this lovely man will not have a funeral and all his family cannot say their goodbyes. COVID has changed our lives, hasn't it. I must say your card is beautiful, Connie. A picture of praying hands always brings thoughts of comfort and peace. Those beautiful hands against the foil cardstock are beautiful. Your friend's day will be blessed in this overwhelming time, when they open their card and see the beauty of this card and the lovely sentiment.

This is beautiful Connie! I love how the heat embossing looks over the dry embossing. I've never tried that before. Stunning results!

It's never easy to say goodbye and now Covid has taken all of that away from us. It is sad. This card will let them know how you feel. It's beautiful and lovely! (((hugs)))

Yes, here in the UK the rules about funeral arrangements who may attend, numbers etc have all been changed again. It doesn't make it easy on family/loved ones who are doing their best to arrange a funeral and say their goodbyes. COVID has certainly changed our lives.

Your card though is beautiful.

Take care, my good wishes.

All the best Jan

I had the same situation with my Mother-in-law who passed last May month during pandemic and it was really sad...That card is great and blessed.

This card is stunning! I'm sure it brought comfort to your friend and his fmaily. Yes, funerals are always difficult but even more difficult these days. My best friend's daughter lost her husband, (this was when we first heard about the pandemic, they did have a funeral, but there was a sign there about no touching. Normally I would have hugged my friend's daughter, It was difficult not to be able to do that.
