Ornaments

I started off the first card using some little stamps I was given by a fellow cardmaker in my group. I had bought these acrylic shapes that you are supposed to put an image behind for an ornament but I keep the shapes to make my own ornaments and fussy cut out. I went around the edge of the ornament and the cardstock and card base with a silver pen to outline everything.

  • Flora & Fauna- Mini Aviary stamps, colored w/markers and spectrum sparkle pen red barn for the berries
  • Pilot Silver pen and Faber Castel pitt artist pen silver to outline everything
  • My mind's eye - O' Christmas tree paper
  • Clear scraps - Ornament acrylic shapes to trace ornament shape
The next two used the same stamp, just colored a little differently.

  • Impression Obsession - Leaf Ornament stamp, colored w/markers
  • Bobunny - Father Christmas paper
  • Tim Holtz - Crochet die
  • Hobby Lobby - Country tags 3d chipboard sentiments
  • Sequins

    • Spellbinders - Circle Delight die

We had bad flooding last night, it has been a rough time of it, I was awaken by my hubby early that it was rushing into our garage, and he needed help to start getting things up inside the house incase it got that bad.  I stopped to pray and asked God is he would calm the rain, and then started working on getting everything up that I could.  It wasn't too long after that the rain slowed down and then about a half hour to an hour we could see the water going down.  We have a lot of work in our garage, since we don't have a basement everything is stored in there and it is packed, so we have been throwing quite a bit away, and still have a lot to go through.  I am just thankful no water came in the house. They said this will go down in the books as being our most major ran storm, luckily we only got 6 inches in such a short time, there were others to the north of us that got up to 11 inches. We have more rain in the forecast tonight into tomorrow morning, praying none of that will be as heavy, and last as long.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
    Connie

Goodness Connie, I'm so glad the damage wasn't worse and that you and your hubby are okay. Your cards are all very sweet! Love all the Christmas ornaments you've created.

These are very pretty cards! Love the bird on your 1st ornament and your colorful ornaments on your beautiful backgrounds--they look fabulous! Well done and merry merry!

Oh, Connie... first I want to tell you how pretty your cards are. The bird on the first is darling, and the papers so gorgeously vintage on your second two. Now... I'm so glad you escaped without any flooding in your house, but what a thing to wake up to and worry about. I've seen on the news about the severe weather in the east. All over the country it's either a heat wave or severe storms. Stay safe!

I love the shape of that first bauble and that bird is super cute too. The papers you used on the second and third card have a wonderful vintage feel to them. Three fabulous Christmas cards to add to your stash.

What beautiful ornament cards. I especially love that last one with the elegant papers and the doily around the bulb.
So sorry about the flooding you've experienced. We lost a bunch of our stuff being stored in my brothers-in-law's shed to a flood many years ago.
