In my stamp group the challenge this week is Generation stamping. You stamp three times with the same stamp without reinking the stamp, so your image gets lighter as you go. I was in need of another sympathy card and I thought this image might be pretty to stamp for it but trying to figure out the best way to use it and came up with this idea, very different for me but I liked the end results.
Unity Stamp- Flower of fall stamp- stamped three times without reinking
Distress Oxide - Ground Expresso ink
Sweetnsassy - Jesus Cares stamp set
Distress ink - Old paper
I like this verse from the bible for a Christian sympathy card because knowing that our love one is free from pain and living once again with our Lord and Savior brings much peace, it is still sad not to have them in our lives anymore but knowing that they are in a wonderful place now eases that sadness.
I did a little bit of sponging around the images and outside of the card.
I hope you enjoy a great weekend, the heat and humidity hits us once again this weekend with heat index in the 100's but I sure did enjoy our little bit of relief we have had this past week :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and say Hi!

This turned out very nice! I like the verse too. Our church has a song using this verse.
BEAUTIFUL! Yes, that image lends itself very well for a sympathy card and your generation stamping turned out beautiful! Great thinking and perfect verse! Well done!
Very nice work with your generation stamping. The image is a good one for this technique, and it really looks like three different ink colours were used.
Absolutely beautiful love the gorgeous image and your exquisite generation stamping design. x
Simply beautiful Connie! That's a verse that I've claimed many times to get me through dark times. Love this card!
I love the verse in Psalms you used in your beautiful card, Connie. Such comforting and hopeful thoughts. Love the fading out of your stamp. 'Tis a fabulous and inspired idea.
