Sympathy fern

Another friend from church recently lost her brother, these gold foiled birds and ferns were add ons to go with this paper pack, they show sanding them to reveal the silver underneath.  Just a heads up if you have never tried Tim Holtz's sanding disk that go on the ink tool, it is very course, it scratched way too much on the bird as you can see.  I finished with a nail file and the fern and that is a much nicer sand, you may want to try them out on something you aren't planning on for your card before using them on your projects.

In the pictures I took you can not see the gold embossing I did of the sentiment on the banner toward the bottom of the card, I could see it well in person but just blends in with the banner too much to see in the pictures.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Thanks for the tip on the TH sanding stone. I do think the gold is great for the bird and fern. I am sorry for the loss of the friend from church.

Those are very cool accents and good to know that using a nail file works better, clever! It's a lovely Sympathy card with very pretty Designer Papers.
