Get Wells

I had a couple of get well cards to make, this first one is for my sister in law who was in the hospital for a week, and has a few weeks of recovery ahead of her. I used some new goodies I had bought. I brought out one of my old flower dies, did a little inking to color it. Added some nuvo drops to the background.

  • 49 and Market - Artoptions Avesta 6x8 papers and Avesta Ephemera Bits
  • Spellbinders - Rose Creations dies
  • ODBD - All Occasions Sentiments stamp
  • Nuvo Drops - Pale Gold
  • Brad

My second card went to a lady in our church that has had to go to the hospital a couple of times, hopefully she is on the road to recovery. She loves riding horses and was so hoping to be well enough to do it again. She also loves quilting so I mixed the two on this card :)

  • John Sloane's country season calendar 2022 - Horse image
  • Sassafras - Mix and Mend paper
  • PPD - A2 stitched Banner set die
  • Pebbles Inc. - Rub on sentiment

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Hope both are on the road to recovery! Sounds like your SIL has had a rough time of it. Thoughts and prayers sent her way! Beautiful and caring creations! I adore that first one in all it's beauty! Gorgeous Papers, they never disappoint, that rose is magnificent and is the star of the show....so beautiful! Your second one will delight your friend and let her know how much you have been thinking about her and her love of horses. Perfect!

These are both, so pretty Connie! The layers, texture and details on the first card are absolutely stunning. I mean.... WOW! The second card is gorgeous as well. I have a great niece who loves horses too and would love a card like this.

Your SIL and friend will feel better just knowing you care enough to take this time for them. Your cards are thoughtfully created for each individual. Love that 49 & Market paper, and you are an expert with the Nuvo drops. Wonderful upcycling of the calendar image with the little bit of additional personalized homespun touch added alongside. Wishing good healing for your SIL and better days with lots of horseback riding for your church friend.

Two beautiful cards! I love the pretty florals and sentiment on the first one, and those beautiful horses on the second. What a great upcycle of a calendar image.
