I hadn't done any watercoloring for awhile so I thought this pretty flower would be nice to watercolor, I have only colored with markers in the past, at least that I can remember :)
I am sharing today's card with Retro Rubber challenge the challenge is anything goes this time. If I am reading the tiny date correctly it is a 2002 stamp, wow 20 years old.
- Rubber stampede - Hydrangea stamp 2002, watercolor w/ Daniel Smith Green Apatite Genuine and Distress ink Dusty concord and Distress Oxide Scattered Straw
- Liquid Pearls - Lemon Yellow (center flowers and background)
- Stampendous - Birthday Assortment stamp sentiment
I like these challenges to get me to break out my old stamps once again :)
Hope you all enjoy a nice weekend, we are still into the thick humidity so we won't be outdoors much.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie

Beautiful watercoloring of this lovely 20 yr old stamp. It's crazy how old some of our stamps are. I would probably think of this one as newish until I actually added up the years, sheesh.
I have that same stamp, isn't it lovely? Beautiful water coloring, gives it a nice soft look! Your liquid pearl centers came out perfectly, mine never do--more like a blob lol So pretty!
Your water coloring is fantastic, Connie! I would have guessed this to be a newer stamp too. Some stamps just never go out of style, and this is obviously one of them. I love that you added liquid pearl centers too. It's totally lovely!
What beautiful water coloring you have done on this 'oldie but goodie' stamp! Of course your choice of color is my all time favorite! I think I have some stamps that are older than 20 and haven't inked them up in a very long time ... thanks for inspiration! Beautifully done! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
Perfect watercolouring. The colours are so pretty, Connie. I love the yellow that surrounds your purple flower. Hope your weekend is going well.
It's gorgeous, Connie! xoxo

All the best Jan
Wow! beautiful card. You colored it so nicely!
You may have beat me with the stamp. I have so many old supplies but I didn't start stamping till about 2005 or so... (and Yes I have some stamps yet from them...and I can't get myself to take them off of their wood blocks.
What a gorgeous stamp and you showcased it so beautifully!!
