My cousin lost his wife just before Christmas, I went with very simple but with a bit of texture for his card.

Masculine card for my nephew, I haven't done any water coloring in quite sometime so I thought I would do that with this image, I used my Spectrum Aqua markers but used some of my sparkle pen for the water. I colored the frame with an alcohol marker.
Our Pastor recently bought a new home, it is gray so I had to spotlight one of them the color of their home. I first stamped grass at the bottom and then filled in the area with some inking and then took the cloud stencil for the background, adding a few stamped birds, sentiment and stamped tree, cut out the frame and made it into a shaped card, added the houses and to end it added the vine frame to finish it off.

I just love these papers and the chipboard pieces of ephemera they have that go with the papers, I put them together to make this cute seen, my friend that it went to has cats so I thought it was perfect.
My nephews wife just lost her Grandmother, I went with a stamp from the Spellbinders advent calendar for her card.
I have a couple cards I made for my great nephews, the first one is for one that is turning 16 this year, so I always try to do a car card for the boys turning 16 and as I said in my last post I got a couple advent calendars this year and this car was the first item in the Spellbinders calendar, I was just going to use it without the present but I thought it would work for his birthday.
The car was cut from a piece of left over gold shimmer spray I had done on another card. I used some pattern paper for the road, sky and grass, and drew in the lines for the road, although I think he is one the wrong side, LOL!
I needed a get well card for a friend and I had I decided to use something from one of my Advent Calendars, yes I bought two this year, I just had to see if I would like Spellbinders better than Crafter's companion that I have been getting for the past 3 years.
This one was an embossing folder from day one of Crafter's companion. I colored it with markers after embossing.
Yep my hubby is my old man now, LOL! That's what I keep telling him :) He saw these gears and Pipes dies years ago when we went to a Scrapbook store and said how cool they were and I should get them, I told him I had no idea what to do with those pipe dies but he wanted to get them, he has since done a few things with the gears but not sure if he ever used the pipe dies so I decided to try and make the number 60 with them, I had to do a little trimming to make it somewhat work.
This stamp set was on sale at Hobby Lobby one time I went in there and it looked so pretty I thought I should get it :) Who doesn't want a field of wild flowers for their birthday :) The butterfly and the dandelion seeds are extras in the set so you can use them however you want in your design.
I have seen this style of card called a few names, but I wanted to try something new for my daughters birthday cards so I went with this design that I have seen many do. I followed the instructions on the Card Here . I went with the second card in the video, she calls it a trellis split card.
I wanted to write quite a bit in her card so I added a yellow insert inside that I folded so she has to open that up to view the sentiment inside.
Our Friends cat passed away last month, we go over to their house once a week so we see her quite often she was 19, so she didn't move a lot anymore but she was a very big and fluffy cat and she liked when you would come over and pet her.
I have two cards finished for my great niece and great nephew, so I thought I would share them together.
I know I have told myself many times I do NOT need anymore bird dies, but here I go again. He is a little bigger than my other birds. I love them in wreaths so I had to add that but this time I cut some thing strips of paper and crinkled them up a bit to make a little nest for him to sit in. I colored him by inking with my blender brushes.
I was asked by Splitcoast Stampers if I would be a guest designer for December's Christmas challenge in their Fan club, you have to join and be a member in order to see the challenge and all the other creations that were made and join along. I went with cross-stitching this cute little snowman.
In my stamp group our challenge was to use vellum on our Christmas cards and my first thought was to use it with my poinsettia dies, when looking for my vellum I found some gold vellum too, so I made two cards with both kinds of vellum, not sure which I like most.
I bought some Lunar Paste a few months ago and had yet to try them out, I thought I would give it a go on one of these 3 D folders I have, I applied it with my fingers rubbing over the embossing, I bought two colors that look like shades of gold but as you can see in the close up the one has a green tint to it.
I almost forgot to post the rest of the cards I made for Thanksgiving this year, it was just the hubby and I today but it was a nice day and we had a good meal and the hubs helped me so that is always nice too!
I had bought these ephemera pieces because I thought they might be nice to use in my Junk Journal this Autumn season. Well when I was sitting at my desk one day trying to figure out what I was going to make for the next birthday card I needed I saw them sitting there and decided to try using them on the card.
This stamp has such pretty flowers on it, I thought it would make a pretty Autumn birthday card colored with oranges and yellows. I fussy cut it out and then matted it with some brown cardstock.
