Pastor Appreciation

We had Pastor Appreciation Sunday last Sunday and a group of us ladies made cookies, there ended up being 28 varieties and we sent the Pastor home with four from each group, and then we all were able to choose 3 that we wanted to have and we stayed after and had a great visit with one another.

We were also asked by the board if we could make cards of Appreciation for Pastor and this is the one I made.  I used a Tissue box to cut the cross out with, I thought the pattern on it would work well for a cross. This is two crosses layered on top of one another with foam tape between.  I thought this die would make a neat frame for it, the die cuts into the background, I used patterned paper for both the piece underneath and the main piece.

  • Spellbinders - Cross Collection and Noble Rectangle dies
  • Basic Grey - Periphery paper for dark background
  • K & co. - K- ology Hanna K cardstock for green background
  • Simon Says stamps - Tiny words Faith sentiment stamp
  • Paper Studio - Gem Stones in corner
  • crosses cut from tissue box

Hope you have a wonderful start to your week,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Connie

Love the Designer Papers and your background die cut, very cool! That cross is magnificent, so much texture and dimension, makes for a great accent AND focal point! Finished off with the most perfect sentiment! This card is a 10!

How beautiful this is with the paper and the framing. I can see the texture on the cardboard cross and it looks amazing.

I am thinking your pastor is feeling blessed right about now. Delicious cookies and beautiful cards. The one you have imagined is lovely, Connie. Love the cross standing out from the lovely background papers. Why, the cross causes me to think of aged metal....so clever.

I love the cross cut from a tissue box. Those boxes have such beautiful designs now making them perfect for designer 'paper' use. It's a beautiful card, Connie.

The one thing in life I wish I could do is think outside the box. A genius of an idea to cut into a Kleenex box. It looks like you used a real bronze cross. Wonderfull card.

Thanks for your kind words on my new hair colour. Hugs.

Great card! That cross is so amazing. I just don’t see the tissue box connection. Beautiful work! And the cookies are such a great idea too.
