Crayon Scribbling

The next challenge was to scribble crayon onto white cardstock in either circles or straight lines, leaving plenty of white space, then go over the whole background with ink, take a paper towel and rub the whole background and the ink will lift off of the crayon since the crayon acts as a resist.

I tried circles at first didn't like that at all, then I decided to do straight lines but do them like a basket weave look, I used yellow, orange and a reddish brown crayons, then went over that with dark brown ink.

The paper had a glossy feel to it after it was done, since the background was so dark I went with this stamped image that had a dark background to it, but colored it with pencils to lighten the card up a bit. I will have to say I wasn't really thrilled with my results on this one, showed it to my hubby and he thought it was so cool, I guess you never know, LOL!

The top pick is how the coloring is in real life, this side view had a bit of glare on it, but thought you could see the stamp better.
