Sending thoughts

There were three families who lost a family member in our church this past week and the first is a guy that lost his Dad.

I went with another piece of my tea stained paper and did a bit of stamping, and inking along the edges of the die cut that I used.

  • Tim Holtz - Flights of Fancy stamped on tea stained card stock
  • Spellbinders - A2 Distressed Edges die
  • The Greetery - Thinking of you stamp set
  • Queen & Co. - Gold Jellies

This next card I did for a lady who lost her sister, she has lost 2 family members in this past year.

I found these flower stickers at Hobby Lobby the other day and thought they were very pretty, I used some washi tape to border the paper.

  • Paper Studio - Stickabilities 1813294
  • Little B - Washi tape
  • Nuvo Crystal drops - Pale gold

I have one more sympathy card yet to make and I certainly hope that is the last one for some time.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and say Hi, and hope everyone is staying warm, I heard on the news that most of the states will be below freezing soon, that is just crazy.

I hope too, that you won't need to make any more sympathy cards for those who have lost a loved one, Connie. The two cards which you have made will warm the recipients hearts.

Beautiful Connie... lovely, nicely made, very caring cards.. it's really sad that you're needing them.

You know we live in a broken world. Annually 17 million die worlwide from heart issues, 10 million with cancer and just over 2 million worldwide since virus began with Covid.. perspective is good.

All death is sad, no matter what the cause, however we need to focus on Lord not this broken world ..
But one glorious day it will all be fixed.. in a moment, the twinkling of an eye the Lord will return as He promised in Gospels and in 1 Cor 15:52... how wonderful that will be.
There is a crown of rejoicing promised to those who live in anticipation of His coming 1 Thess 2:19.
Sorry I didn't mean to rattle on Connie.. I'm grieving today a dear friend fighting so valiantly a long but losing battle with cancer, so sad it's winning.. so my thoughts turned this way also in reading your post.
Sending prayer hugs your way dear Connie, and praying too for those hurting families.
Jesus feels our sorrow.
The shortest verse in the bible is "Jesus wept." It was at the tomb of his friend Lazarus.

Re the technique I did on the alcohol markers, I deepened the colours by reapplying. Did make a difference, but you might like it light.
The key is to add sufficient alcohol spray.
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz. X
